i have an idea for an ok ko animatic that i rly want to do but idk if itd be worth it because

a) all my animatics so far have been memes and the longest one ive done was 15 secs long. the idea i have would probably be at least a full minute and def more serious so itd take a while

b) i think the fandoms dying and i dont want to spends weeks on something two people will see

Why the Boxbots becoming heroes works

How exactly can the Boxbots, the machines who were made for the sole purpose of destroying the Plaza in order to please their daddy, become heroes? Why would they? How does that make sense?

Well, it is actually very simple.

Remember Mr. Logic? He was Boxman’s very first human-like robot with a mind of his own. He was made to assist Boxman destroy stuff, so that’s what he did.

But he came to the conclusion that destruction is pointless and that it was logical to create and be good. He could do so because Boxman had given him a mind so advance and human-like that he could think for himself. So he turned on his creator.

Boxman didn’t want that to happen again, so when he made more robots with human-like minds, he made them so that they would love him unconditionally and would do anything to win his affection.

So there. Robots with sentient minds minds who COULD think for themselves but won’t since they have build-in daddy issues.

But when Boxman leaves his kids, they find themselves without purpose. Their lives has been all about pleasing their dad, so what do you do when there is no dad to please? They can’t even attack the Plaza since there is no Plaza left.

Well, for starters, you can AVENGE your dad. And the Boxbots being sentient and being presented to the idea that they love each other makes them realize that they have a strong bond. And unity makes you stronger. Literally when you are robots who can join and become an even better robot!

And since you now defend the place attacked by that mean little bugger you fight... well, that makes you that place’s heroes. And the people who lives there offer you a home that you very much need, even more so on an emotional level.

There you have it. If you take the daddy away from people who will do anything for said dad’s approval, you have a group of neutral people who has the potential of becoming GOOD people, especially if they find people who will make them feel needed and appreciated.
